I’ve had the joy of creating five murals at Fairview Primary School—each one designed to celebrate the beauty of Tasmania and to brighten the spaces where students learn and play.
The school’s "ball wall" was once a flat grey surface that has now become a colourful tribute to the Derwent River, which flows through New Norfolk a short distance from the school grounds. The students loved watching the murals come to life day by day, offering me much encouraging commentary. Many reported feeling a real sense of calm come over them, as they watched me methodically applying each brushstroke.
